The festive season can be particularly challenging for children whose parents are in prison. To bring light and laughter into their lives, Children of Prisoners Uganda hosted its annual Christmas Party in December 2025 at our Kyengera base.
Over 100 children and guardians attended the colourful event, which featured music, games, a special visit from “Father Christmas,” sharing of meals, and distribution of gifts including clothes, shoes, and scholastic materials.
The party also included children from the neighbourhood, promoting inclusion and reducing the stigma faced by our beneficiaries. Guardians expressed deep gratitude, noting how the event restored a sense of normal childhood joy.

This celebration is more than just a party — it is a powerful reminder that these children are loved and valued. It complements our year-round programmes in education support, basic needs provision, and self-help projects for guardians.
We are already planning the next celebration and looking for sponsors who can help make it even bigger. If you would like to donate gifts, food, or sponsor the event, kindly contact us.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making 2025 a memorable Christmas for these precious children.
